Item Details Twin Engine Wall mount Trench Art.

This is an original one of a kind, stunning center piece of Vintage Aviation Art. It was built in the late 1930’s.
The center of the nose has a working barometer manufactured in England dated 1930.
The cylinders are BG Corporation spark plugs that were used in the 1000 HP Wright Cyclone R-1820 Engine developed in the mid 1930’s. Some of the aircraft that used this BG 298-GS plug were Boeing’s Clipper, Stratoliner and B17 Flying Fortress, Douglas DC-2, Curtiss SBC Helldiver, P-36 Hawk and the SBD Dauntless bombers.
On the top of the plugs, the electrode were cut off and aluminum caps were machined to cover the top of the plug.
The wings are cut from Hydromatic propeller blades.
The nose section is machined from billet aluminum stock.

Overall dimensions are 45 inches wide by 14 inches high and weighs 31 lbs.

Please review the pictures carefully as they will tell the story of this piece better than anything I could write.
