This
was the first, Hydraulically Operated Controllable
Pitch Propeller For Light Planes in production
in 1946, for use with Continental A-65
and C-75-85 horsepower engines
The Continental Aviation and Engineering Skypower
Propeller operates from the engine oil pump
pressure, on a closed
system, without packing glands or gaskets. No spinning
hydraulic parts. A simple Push-Pull Control on the
panel shifts the prop to low-pitch angle for take-off
and climb,
high-pitch angle for cruising. With laminated birch
blades specially Designed for the greatest efficiency
and performance.
It’s simple in design and operation, low in price,
and easy to install and maintain.
